snow then ice then slush

Because we were still in Arizona, Zach and I missed the excitement of the first snow of 2011. I was a little sad about missing that time with the boys, but when I learned that 12 hours later all the snow was encased in ice to the point that even walking down your own driveway was hazardous my sadness ended. By the time we got back home with the boys everyone wasn't as housebound during the day but by night all froze up again and we were back to square one until Mr. Sun came shining through. Micah kept asking if we could go play in the snow but it didn't take long for him to get that this kind of 'snow' wasn't too fun! Finally yesterday the sun was out all day and the ice started to melt revealing the snowy slush below. The boys along with their parents got the chance to go out and play in the slush :) Micah loved it. He picked it up, threw it, and rolled in it. Connor had fun watching Micah and kind of played along after a lot of staring and thinking!
