Go Connor Go!
Yesterday we had Connor's 2nd birthday party at Denny Dobbs Park which is an awesome park about 3 minutes from our house! The weather was gorgeous, the park was pretty empty and some of our family and friends were able to come out and celebrate with us! It was the most relaxing birthday party we've had which I think has a lot to do with the fact that it was not at my house! The theme was Diego because that is Connor's absolute favorite thing to watch, but the theme was only in the cupcakes and napkins in our sack lunches plus some 'explorer' favors of bug catchers and magnifying glasses. The order of the day was play, eat our picnic, play, cupcakes, presents and play some more and everyone had a great time! I was super impressed with Connor all day. He was excited from the time he woke up til the end of the day. He sang Happy Birthday Cake to himself all morning, was super smiley and talkative to everyone at the party, and played played played after his nap that afternoon. It was a very fun and special day :)

duckies
Yesterday Connor and I were supposed to meet Sarah and Natalie at the park but they ended up not being able to go. I already had in my head that we were going somewhere so I packed up a lunch and a bag of old bread and we headed to Turner Lake Park to feed the ducks and play. It was CHILLY! but so much fun. Connor had a great time throwing bread in the water and laughing at the ducks noises. It was fun to be on an outing with Connor that didn't involve just running errands while Micah's at school :)

farm day
Micah had farm day at school after their animal unit. A petting zoo came out and set up a small petting zoo for the kids to go through. There were sheep, goats, bunnies a pot bellied pig and the goofiest looking chickens I have ever seen!! The boys had a great time!

dirt
Over a year ago a couple came to look at our house and said the famous words We LOVED it but... This time the "but" was a hole in our backyard that they were afraid was a sink hole. That was definitely a new one. We started the task of filling that and another 'ditch' in the backyard and I'm happy to announce one year and 4 loads of dirt later THEY ARE FULL!! Yeah it probably shouldn't have taken a whole year but we never had that complaint again so we weren't too worried about it! Today with the help of a good friend and his truck we even got a pallet of sod laid on top of said dirt and it looks GREAT! I'll share pictures of the finished product soon :)

and a big thank you to these lovely ladies from Mow Like a Girl. The fabulous one to the right is a YL leader and the girl to the left is earning money for summer camp. They dug dirt pile #3 all by their lonesome!

Easter Sunday
We had a wonderful Easter! Friday our worship team put on an amazingly worshipful Good Friday concert and another wonderful service on Sunday. I was in the nursery but I could hear bits and pieces from the intercom :) After church we made the drive to Gainesville to be with Zach's family and it was a pretty relaxing afternoon. 5 of the 6 kids and their spouses/family were there and we spent the afternoon outside talking, egg hunting and frisbee throwing. Of course we were absolutely exhausted by the time we made it home but when are we not now a days! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter as well!

strawberries
Saturday morning we went to Southern Belle Farm to pick strawberries. We forgot to get cash before we went so Zach dropped the boys and me off to check out all the animals while he ran to get the money. I wish wish wish I had gotten the camera out before he drove off because the boys were SOOOOOO cute looking at all the farm animals. We saw donkeys, goats, a mommy and baby cow, rabbits, baby chicks and ducklings, big chickens and a huge peacock! Then we walked down a loooooonnnnnnnggggg dirt road to the strawberry patch and were absolutely FILTHY by the time we arrived. It had rained the night before and was overcast all morning so our shoes were covered in mud. The strawberries were gorgeous (for me to look at since I don't eat them) and it didn't take long to fill up our bucket. Zach kept a close watch on Connor because he grabbed anything he could find and we ended up with a couple lime green strawberries!! We stayed long enough to feed the goats again and eat lunch because my baby belly was not going to allow a 20+ minute drive home without some food!
