birthday playdate

Best Birthday Party EVER!  Logan's birthday party this year was just a glorified playdate and it was fantastic.  I bought them each a little nerf gun and they spent several hours shooting nerf bullets, playing outside, climbing the tree, and going down the zipline with a break or two for snacks and cake.  It was an easy, relaxing and fun time with his favorites.

Logan is 6!!

Happy 6th birthday to our baby boy! 

His day started with his favorite breakfast, a sausage, egg, and syrup biscuit.  Then present opening and heading out to school.  His dinner choice was Tokyo so that he could eat white sticky rice and steak.  At dinner we did his annual favorites interview.  Here are his answers...

To say this boy has personality is an understaement!  We love him and all his beautiful energy, impulse, humor, cuddles, and insanely loud early morning opera singing.  To be loved by him is a gift, and to be able to love him back is a treasure!  

mitcham farm field trip

I love any field trip with one of my boys and Logan's first field trip of Kindergarten was to Mitcham Farm just down the road from our home.  They had all sorts of fall festival fun with a cow train, tunnel slide, corn maze, petting zoo, corn shucking, hay ride, and more.  Any day with my baby is a good day!

the night before kindergarten

The babiest of the blonde boys started Kindergarten this year so the night before we read books all about school!  The Curious George First Day of School book was given to Micah by my best friend  before he started Kindergarten and we read it to Connor before his first day and now Logan before his.

This sweet, crazy boy was ALL smiles during story time and super teary right before bed.  It's hard and scary starting new things but so far he has rocked it!

red sox baseball

Logan's first year in baseball was a tremendous success.  After literally spending every sing spring of his life at the ballfields watching his big brothers he finally got his chance on the field and he took advantage of every moment.  

He was drafted by a coach we had never met but heard good things about and it ended up being fantastic.  His coached loved him, worked with him, and helped him grow as an athlete.  As the lead off batter, Logan was almost always on base and able to score a run for his team.  He listened well running bases and played great defensively in the field.  He made several new baseball buddies and was even nominated for All Stars.  Though we opted out of it for him this year, we know he will get another opportunity in the future and will be excited when it comes.

I love watching all my boys play, but the first year for each of them is definitely a special season!
