One of our absolute favorite Christmas traditions is our box advent calendar that counts down the days until Christmas. Each day the open a new box containing a piece of candy for each of them and a note telling them a fun activity we will do that day. Most are small things but there are a couple of big events mixed in. It is always a great way to check off our standard Christmas activities in a fun, exciting way and it is highly anticipated by us all!
Day 1: Christmas stories and hot chocolate
Day 2: Family Christmas Movie Night watching of Elf
fun sidenote, I missed the movie because one of my closest friends went into labor with her first child! I had the exciting task of grabbing their bags from home and bringing them to the hospital because it was definitely a not expected spur of the moment situation!
Day 3: Covington Christmas Parade
My parents and two of my nieces came up for the weekend and got to go with us. Such a fun morning!!
Day 4: Making the BEST Christmas snack ever!!
Day 5: Pom pom Christmas tree craft
