pumpkin patch with logan

It was my 7th time on this field trip to the pumpkin patch at CFUMC when you add together the trips taken with all three boys in various grades.  The first was with Micah when he was in Pre K and here again this year during Logan's Pre K year.  He loved his experience this year and was so excited to have me along.  I love when my boys love me ;-)

There was a story time, fun outdoor centers, and the movie about growing pumpkins which I might possibly have memorized by this point.  Here's to two more years until the final visit!

mitcham farm

Our fall was unusually full of travel meaning our annual trip to the corn maze and pumpkin patch had to be squeezed in on a Friday evening so we returned again to the little farm down the road in Oxford.  It was hot and quite unfallish in regards to weather but none seemed to mind.  We spent a fun few hours sliding on the slides and other activities.  Our favorite is their large inflatable bouncer.  Zach spent quite a little bit of time mastering a round off back tuck and nailed it eventually.  I did my annual toe touch and left it at that!

Building traditions is one of my favorite things as a wife and mama, I love when the boys ask if we are going to do the same thing this year as we did in previous ones and look forward to repeating fun adventures.  I look forward to repeating them with these loves in my life as long as I can.

camping at moccasin creek state park

The coldest days of the fall happened the weekend of our first family camping trip
during Fall Break with some friends to Moccassin Creek State Park on Lake Burton.

We spent the weekend watching the boys run and play, fish, kayak, tromp through the forest, and fall in streams.  We sat and cooked by the fire.  We stayed up late and roasted marshmallows.  We cuddled up in our six person tent with our heater blasting warmth around us.  We had a wonderful time and I sat the last night looking at our three sons fast asleep in their sleeping bags overwhelmingly thankful that instead of separate beds in one of the big fancy campers around us, we were lined up in a row sharing our small space together, our little family, on our first of many trips.
