Romania!!!!

Kids have been transferred to their Mimi and Papa

Bags of supplies for our week with Belief in Motion are packed

We are ready to go

It seems like all the preparations and support raising the last few months has gone by so quickly.  I am nervous, emotional, impatient but most of all excited about the next 8 days.  This is a brand new experience for me and I am well aware that like every other experience we go through, it will change me.

I am ready to see where God takes me, what He reveals to me and to come back and share it with you all.   Also that I and the rest of the team don't just come back on an emotional high, but that we see how and where we need to integrate what we see and learn into our day to day lives here.  In other words, or Dave's words mind you, what are the "So Whats" of our trip to Romania.

Pray for our team and for my babies and for anything else you think of :)

All I Am is Yours

Take these hands
I know they're empty
But with You they can
Be used for beauty
In Your perfect plan
All I am is Yours

Take these feet
I know they stumble
But You use the weak
You use the humble
So please use me
All I am is Yours

I give You all my life
I'm letting it go
A living sacrifice
No longer my own
All I am is Yours
All I am is Yours

Take this heart
Set it on fire
Shining in the dark
I wanna tell the world of who You are
All I am is Yours

I give You all my life
I'm letting it go
A living sacrifice
No longer my own
All I am is Yours
All I am is Yours

I give You everything
To You I belong
Every beat of my heart
The breath in my lungs
All I am is Yours
All I am is Yours

I lift my hands up
God I surrender
All that I am for Your glory, Your honor, Your fame

I life my hands up
God I surrender to You

I give You all my life
I'm letting it go
A living sacrifice
No longer my own
All I am is Yours
All I am is Yours

I give You everything
To You I belong
Every beat of my heart
The breath in my lungs
All I am is Yours
All I am is Yours

afternoon in greenville

Last Saturday we made a quick trip to Greenville to visit this cutie almost big sister and her parents.  Katie is due while we will be in Romania and Zach wanted to do maternity pictures for her just like he'd done when she was pregnant with Elodie.  I couldn't bare the thought of little sister feeling slighted ;)

We spent the afternoon catching up and then went downtown to walk along the river for a bit.  The boys loved wading in the river and running through the fountains.  We will DEFINITELY be going back for a more extended visit.  That is a cool city!

Before we went back to the house for dinner, Zach took M and C on the suspension bridge over the river.  I opted out because suspension bridges creep me out.  I like stationary!

The plan was to eat dinner and then I would watch all the kids while Zach, Katie and Jered did pictures.  Then Logan fell off a chair and hit his head on the corner of the wall.  Plans got pushed back a bit as we calmed him down, sent pictures to friends who knew whether he needed stitches or not, went to CVS for butterfly bandages and got him patched up.

The event affected him for a total of two minutes.  He was very pitiful initially but as soon as I had him cleaned up and let him play with my hair all was good.  We ended up having to stop by and get the name brand butterfly bandaids because he kept ripping off the store brand ones.

Bless his sweet heart!

After the drama, they were still able to go out and get some pictures and they turned out beautiful as always :)

father's day

We had a great Father's Day on Sunday.  I made Zach breakfast and we all got to sit down and eat together    which pretty much never happens at breakfast time.  Then the boys shared the cards that had made for him.  I did an interview with Connor and let Micah answer the questions on his own about Zach.  They both had great answers and on the question Daddy makes me laugh by...they both said "by doing arm poots"

My traditional gifts for Zach didn't happen this year for a few reasons but he did get Mountain Dew Kick Starts and a six pack of Diet Mountain Dew.  He will also be buying a new smoker that's a bit of an upgrade from his last one.  The boys and I tried to go buy it but it was HUGE and wouldn't fit in the van with us very comfortably so we just took a picture of it. :)

So thankful for this man of mine!

swimming lessons

Micah and Connor had their third year of swimming lessons last week.  Connor was in level 1 and Micah was in level 2.  Each of them did really well and passed on to their next levels!!  To pass level 2 Micah had to jump off the diving board and swim all the way across the pool on his back and front.  He was sooo excited that he did it and even let me take a picture of him with his level completed card.  For him to take a voluntary picture is huge right now!

Micah's favorite part besides jumping off the diving board, was the penny hunt that they always do on Friday.  He has finally figured out how to dive under and get something off the bottom.  He brought ten pennies to throw in and got to take home 12 that he got from the bottom of the pool.

This was the first year that Connor didn't cry at all so that was awesome.  Whenever his teachers told him good job after his turn he would respond "yep cause I know how to swim."  Mercy sakes that child!

finger painting

I decided to introduce the boys to fingerpainting  yesterday.  Micah and Connor had probably done it before, maybe but I don't remember.  I water color with the two of them a  lot even at Logan's age but Micah wasn't fond of getting his hands dirty and Connor was too fond of getting his hands dirty to do much fingerpainting.

The good news is all three of them loved it and didn't destroy the place too much.  Logan was tentative at first but ended up going crazy and only put it in his mouth once.  SUCCESS!!

They were  making Father's Day cards for Papa (my dad) and Poppy (Zach's dad).  I spelled out their names in painter's tape for C and L so when it was peeled off their names were in white. Micah wanted do his own thing and made a colorful one for Papa and a dark reddish with a Georgia G for Poppy.
