waterpark fun

Knocking out more of our summer fun list at a fun and family friendly waterpark in Snellville.  In place that costs little to get in, allows us to bring our own snacks, keeps my children entertained for hours, and allows me to sit and relax in the water while I can still keep an eye on everything they are doing is pretty much a perfect scenario.  Yay summer fun!

waterslides

Per tradition, this summer, my parents rented a waterslide for the weekend for all grandkids.  This sensational 7 spent hours upon hours over a three day period sliding down, climbing up, timing themselves, racing each other, teaming up to splash the grown-ups at the other end, and chilling and chatting in the pool beneath.
Each day we had to unplug it to force them off because sheer exhaustion want even enough to make them take a break.  But, if there Sweet and fun memories they made.

Labor Day

We had a big small group Labor Day party at Steph and Justin's Sunday afternoon.  Our (big) small group is about to split into (small) small groups (which is encouraging for our church but sad for us) starting next week so we had a big last hurrah to hang out.  Of course we are all great friends and are already planning a joint small group worship time every six weeks but still we needed a hurrah!

Almost all the kids and plenty of grownups hung out on the double inflatable slip n' slide ALL afternoon.  Seriously for like 4 hours straight.  They had a blast running, sliding, wrestling and acting like kids.

The rest of us watched the crazy sliders and hung out talking and laughing and (for me) enjoying adult company and conversation.

I absolutely LOVE the people God has placed around me.
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!

rainy fourth

It was a rainy fourth of July everywhere but our small group plus extra friends didn't let it get us down.  The kids and a great daddy (Zach) and Papa (Steve) braved the chilly pool water and the rest of us hung out and fellowshipped.  There was some grilling, eating, and daytime firework shooting.

When we got home we let Micah and Connor do the HUGE sparklers that we got at Kayla and Alex's wedding a couple months ago.

Fun times!

water table

The weather is warming up and the summer toys are coming down.  This water table/sink was Connor's first birthday present and all three fellas were excited to see it again.
