Best Birthday Party EVER! Logan's birthday party this year was just a glorified playdate and it was fantastic. I bought them each a little nerf gun and they spent several hours shooting nerf bullets, playing outside, climbing the tree, and going down the zipline with a break or two for snacks and cake. It was an easy, relaxing and fun time with his favorites.

To say this boy has personality is an understaement! We love him and all his beautiful energy, impulse, humor, cuddles, and insanely loud early morning opera singing. To be loved by him is a gift, and to be able to love him back is a treasure!

connor turns 8
Our sweet, tough, sensitive, hilarious Connorconnor turned 8. This boy has such a spirit of adventure and independence and one day He is most definitely going to fly and I just pray he desires to come down to his roots occasionally.
His birthday day started with his chalkboard welcome message and a breakfast of BoBerry biscuits and presents. He received Lloyd's dragon Ninjago Lego set, a Rainbow Loom, and catcher's gear.
After school he worked on his Lego set until Zach got home and then they immediately started catching lessons. He can not wait to move up into the league where the catcher actually matters! His fearless personality will carry him far in that position however his sensitivity to pain might get in the way. We'll see which one wins out!
For his birthday dinner, Connor chose Tokyo and once again he, Zach and Micah demolished 40 pieces of sushi. During dinner he had his annual birthday interview. Their answers always crack me up and make me thankful that they are growing up so well with so many interests and yet hang on to many of the same things throughout the years.

birthday party adventures
For Connor's 8th birthday party we had an afternoon of adventures at our house. He and his friends who were able to make it started off the party by biking the Oxford Bike Trails with Zach. Then it was home to climb the rock wall, and play wiffle ball and more wiffle ball and more wiffle ball. Two of the three friends there he has played on teams with and they love to play whenever they get a chance!
It took some doing, but we convinced them to take a break long enough for dinner and ice cream cake, though as soon as they had swallowed the last bits they were back at it again!
Connor had such a fun time celebrating. The time together went by way too quickly and reminded me that we need to have friends over as often as we can this summer. We love sharing our home with friends of all ages!

stone summit climbing party
Micah had the most fun birthday "party" ever for his 10th. We took him and four friends plus his two brothers to Stone Summit to indoor rock climbing. It was AMAZING! They had auto belays that the boys could hook themselves up to and Zach passed a belaying course so that they could do some of the hire walls as well Three plus hours of non stop action had these boys worn out but they loved every minute! This will definitely be one to remember!
