two wheels

This boy learned how to ride his two wheeler in about 5 seconds.  One second Zach is holding on the next he was doing loops around the cul de sac all on his own.  I sat on the curb videoing him with my phone and had tears running down my cheeks.  I was so proud of him!!  My favorite thing was his shy yet confident grin when he braked and set his foot on the ground.  Ugh I love this fella!

  1. How exciting. That is the best feeling watching your children accomplish a milestone like that. I only have one that can ride a bike without training wheels so far and it did NOT come naturally to him. I began to wonder if he would ever catch on and he was really discouraged. Then over Christmas break last year when we were visiting friends and family out of town he was on a friend's bike and just took off.

    1. Isn't it funny when you just know when they're ready! We tried it with Connor over the summer last year and it was a complete disaster instead of stress about it which is the training wheels back on and tell him know when he's ready. It definitely helps me to remember to trust their judgement more I just go with the flow. Something I always need to work on :-)
