savannah day 2

We woke up to more rain Friday morning but that didn't stop three little boys from staring at boats on the window.  After breakfast we headed about 30 minutes outside Savannah to the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium.

After breakfast we headed about 30 minutes outside Savannah to the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium.  It was not a large place but it had some cool looking salt water fish, including two flounder that seriously made me jump when I noticed they were in there, and a fun touch tank though no one in my family was brave enough to actually pick anything besides the empty shells up.  We did pet a couple though.

The flounder are in here...on the left

Notice logi's hand.  He loves to stroke my hair.  Precious boy.

On the way back to the hotel we stopped at Wormsloe Plantation so Zach could get a picture of the road.  It was gorgeous and the setting of the scene where Jenny yells Run Forrest Run in the movie.  It was $10 a person to go down the road but they told Zach they wouldn't charge him to take a picture as long as he didn't get in front of the sign.  At one point he crouched down right in front of it for a different angle and a guy came outside and said "Sir can you please step back behind the sign."  They were not kidding around!

We went back to the hotel for rest time but I ended up driving around Savannah for about an hour and a half so Logan could finish his nap since he fell asleep on the way back.  By afternoon it cleared up and while it was still chilly it wasn't raining.  After lots of begging we took the boys down to the heated outdoor pool to swim before walking to the pirate house for dinner.

And despite the fact that we were all ridiculously exhausted we stayed up and watched Matilda.
